possessing qualifications of a better class than we bould otherwise
expect. But it is not impossible that if the three appointments
were differentiated as suggested in the preceding paragraph it
might no longer be a matter of indifference which teacher had the
residence.
To put it shortly we are doubtful whether we can obtain
kindergarten qualifications for each of the posts, and if kinder-
garten qualifications can be dispensed with in one of the appoint-
ments we do not know whether the position will not be altered
with regard to residence. I wonder if you have any information which
could help us in the matter or, if not, whether you think it would
be possible to obtain it from Hong Kong.
